Research has shown that long-term drug use results in significant changes in brain function that persist long after the individual stops using drugs. NET™, when combined with successful rehabilitation, makes abstinence achievable.

NET reduces acute withdrawal symptoms (e.g. craving, runny nose, stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea) within 4-6 days. NET also affects mood (e.g. ‘new’ awareness of smells, sounds, temperature, and appetite, a renewed sense of well-being, reductions in anxiety, irritability, lack of energy) starting 3-4 days from the onset of treatment.

NET reduces chronic withdrawal symptoms. When coupled with two weeks of a residential rehabilitation program, subjects receiving NET exhibited a dropout rate of less than 2% and experienced long-term drug abstinence rates of approximately 80% (n=186).

Rat studies have shown NET to modulate metabolism of the neurotransmitter serotonin in brain areas related to learning, mood and hormonal regulation.
